The subscription of current cancer research projects is a service of the International Cancer Research Data Bank (ICRDB) Program of the National Cancer Institute. It is comprised of listings describing ongoing projects in one selected cancer research area. The descriptions are provided by cancer scientists in about 50 different countries. The purpose of these listings is to facilitate and promote cooperation and exchange of information between cancer scientists by keeping them aware of ongoing projects related to their research in other laboratories throughout the world. This particular subscription offers a complete set of current cancer research listings in the area of carcinogenesis studies not covered by other subscriptions. The individual reports a subscriber will receive throughout the year cover the following topics: Occupational carcinogenesis and related studies: carcinogenic substances in food and drugs and related epidemiology; organic chemials in occupational and experimental carcinogenesis (excluding most polycyclic and nitroso compounds); radiation carcinogenesis; role of hormones in carcinogenesis and related studies of hormone receptors; nitroso compounds; polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons; modification of carcinogenesis in model systems; effects of chemical carcinogens on nucleic acids, proteins, and chromosomes; environmental and occupational factors in human cancer, and related studies on major inorganic carcinogens; and selected factors associated with increased risk/incidence of human cancer.
