Objective is to design, construct, and license a Spent Fuel Packaging Facility. Examination of the first PWR fuel assembly for use in the dry surface storage demonstration has been completed. A quality assurance plan was issued for the construction of the Sealed Storage Cask concrete shield at the Nevada Test Site, and also issued was a preliminary draft of section 7.5 Environmental Assessment, of the Spent Fuel Facility Conceptual Design Report.
