Lower bound on neutrino masses in left-right electroweak gauge models

Although Dirac neutrino masses are generally not calculable in SU(2)/sub L/ x SU(2)/sub R/ x U(1) electroweak gauge models, they can be bounded from below under certain naturalness assumptions. The generic result is m/sub ..nu../m/sub l/ > (3g/sub L/g/sub R//32..pi../sup 2/) sin zeta cos zeta ln(m/sup 2//sub 2//m/sup 2//sub 1/), where zeta and m/sub 1/, m/sub 2/ are the mixing angle and mass eigenvalues of W/sub L/, W/sub R/.
