Sensible heat correction in laminar film boiling and condensation

This paper describes the influence of accounting for inertia as sensible heat in laminar film boiling and condensation problems. The influence of sensible heat becomes increasingly important in the case of film boiling since the numerical value of the Jakob number is high enough to make the correction very important. This will make it possible to solve film boiling and condensation problems accurately with no more than a latent heat correction without reverting to complicated numerical solutions.
