ISO 9000 and the nuclear industry

Nuclear utilities are finding more and more of their suppliers lacking 10CFR50, App. B, programs. In recent years, finding suppliers with ISO 9000 quality systems has become increasingly common. This paper discusses reasons why suppliers are pursuing ISO 9000, how these standards compare with 10CFR50, App. B, and how this can affect commercial-grade procurement.
