This paper presents the results of a noise control demonstration and industry technology transfer program on rubber tired front-end loaders. The purpose of the program was to develop practical and cost-effective retrofit noise control treatments for front-end loaders, and then to transfer this technology to the mining industry, so that mine operators might be able to obtain compliance with federal noise exposure regulations.
