OSTI ID:6007888
These Proceedings cover the third in a series of conferences, Meeting Customer Needs With Heat Pumps. The meeting was held in Atlanta, Georgia, from November 28 to December 1, 1989. The series sponsors, the American Public Power Association, the Edison Electric Institute, the Electric Power Research Institute, and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association were joined in 1989 by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, which combined its annual meeting with this conference. This series of conferences is designed by the sponsors to provide a forum for the exchange of equipment and application information, marketing programs, training programs, and other information pertaining to the marketing, installation, and operation of air- and ground-source heat pumps in residential and commercial applications. The papers included in these Proceedings review heat pump technologies and applications, utility marketing programs, heat pump associations and other trade ally programs, and technologies and issues that will affect the design and performance of the heat pumps of the future. The conference included a full day of seminars and workshops on focused topics, in addition to the two and one-half day conference documented in these proceedings as well as on equipment show where participants could view exhibits of heat pumps, related equipment, and training materials.
