Analysis of aldehydes and ketones in the gas phase. Final Report, October 1982-September 1984

The development and testing of a 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine-acetonitrile (DNPH-ACN) method for the analysis of aldehydes and ketones in ambient air are described. A discussion of interferences, preparation of calibration standards, analytical testing, fluorescence methods and cartridge sampling are discussed. The results of atmospheric sampling in an urban area and atmospheric and cloudwater sampling in a rural area are included.
