The approach to LNG peakshaving in continental Europe depends on the viewpoint of the persons or professional groups concerned: the utility company is responsible for securing peak gas supplies and must also consider the economics of each facility, the operating personnel are interested in how the facility will run, and the engineering company has to evaluate the economic parameters, the plant location, and public regulations. To highlight all these aspects, Lotepro summarizes peakshaving's past situation and judges the present to be in a standby position as far as installing new peakshaving facilities is concerned.
