The objective of this contract is to increase the efficiency of steam drive operations, particularly in shallow, heavy oil reservoirs. Progress is reported in the selection of a reservoir to be used for the field tests. Laboratory tests have continued to investigate the spread of surfactant in the sandpack prior to creating a foam block under various injection methods. (DMC)
