The Slurry Transport Association was formed in 1976 for the purpose of supporting the slurry transport industry, disseminating information, and coordinating the activities of those interested in the technology. Sessions were devoted at this conference to: economics and environment; preparation and power plant utilization; research and development; international projects; pipeline design and equipment developments; and rheology and test loops. A separate abstract was prepared for each of the 25 individual presentations for the DOE Energy Data Base (EDB). Twelve of the articles regarding coal transport were selected for Energy Abstracts for Policy Analysis (EAPA).
