The nonlinear pulsational behavior of Population I Cepheid models with masses between 8 and 13 solar masses is studied. Narrow windows are found in the model sequences in which the pulsations exhibit periodic alterations of deep and shallow minima in the light of radial velocity curves. These RV Tau characteristics are caused by a 3:2 resonance between the fundamental mode and the first overtone. If accurate observations of long period (about 25-40 days) Cepheids should confirm such a behavior this would put a constraint on the theoretical models as does the 2:1 resonance and the concomitant Hertzsprung progression. 32 refs.
