Flavor violation in six-quark gauge models

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev., D; (United States)
The Higgs-boson contributions to flavor-violating processes are examined for two SU(2)/sub L/ x SU(2)/sub R/ x U(1) six-quark gauge models which are invariant under discrete symmetries. In order to retain the result of the standard box diagram for the K/sub L/-K/sub S/ mass difference, the Higgs-boson contributions must be suppressed by requiring the neutral-Higgs-boson mass to be at least 800 GeV. Upper bounds are obtained for D/sup 0/-D-bar/sup 0/ and B/sup 0/-B-bar/sup 0/ mixing.
