Searches for double. beta. /sup +/,. beta. /sup +//EC and double electron-capture decays

Searches have been made for the ..beta../sup +//EC and EC/EC decays of /sup 58/Ni and for the ..beta../sup +/..beta../sup +/, ..beta../sup +//EC, and EC/EC decays of /sup 106/Cd. No positive evidence for any of these decays has been found. We have established lower limits on the half lives of /sup 58/Ni and /sup 106/Cd against such decays approximately 200 times and 4 times greater, respectively, than previous limits. 22 references.
