Allenics for inhibiting corrosion

The use of allenic compounds as corrosion inhibitors in acidic aqueous solutions to protect ferrous, zinc, and aluminum containing materials is described. The concentration can range from about 0.005 to about 4 g per liter. The inhibiting power of allenic compounds may be enhanced by use of wetting agents or low concentration of iodides. (10 claims)
