System for integrally controlling automatic transmission and engine

A system is described for integrally controlling an automatic transmission and an engine, wherein gear stages are automatically switched in accordance with a preset shift map, and engine torque is changed by a predetermined value by a lag angle control, to maintain satisfactory shift characteristics, comprising: processor means for controlling engine torque change, the processor means including means for detecting a high frequency of shiftings; regulating means for regulating the change of engine torque when the high frequency of shiftings is detected; means for detecting a warmed-up state of the engine ; and modulating means for moderating regulation of the change of engine torque performed by the regulating means when the engine is not warmed-up.
