A new expansion for the energies of the Stark states of the hydrogen atom is obtained with the aid of a quasiclassical quantization condition. Unlike the usual series or Rayleigh-Schr/umlt o/dinger perturbation theory, the expression obtained enables one to determine with high precision the energy of highly excited long-lived states. The possibility of applying the obtained results for identification of resonances in the photoionization spectrum in a uniform electric field is discussed.
