CGVU: A CGM viewer and editor requirements document: Version 1. 2
- eds.
CGVU is a program designed to view and edit CGM (Computer Graphics Metafiles) on a large number of computer platforms. Its capabilities will allow the user community to phase out the use of DLI (Display List Intermediate) files and DLTV, and instead use the new CGM standard for all their graphics work. CGVU needs to perform three distinct functions: (1) display the CGM file on a variety of output devices; (2) add output primitives, such as text, to CGM pictures; (3) edit any part of the displayed picture. The design of CGVU must allow both a command line interface, as well as a Motif menu driven interface. Implementation must include use of industry standard graphics libraries. Implementation must be portable to many platforms.
