A simplified scheme for the injection of neutralizers into product streams in AT and AVT units is shown. A simplified flow plan for injection of ammonia water and corrosion inhibitor into overhead line of atmospheric towers is shown. The use of commercial IKB-2-2 inhibitor is discussed. The use of the inhibitor gives protection against corrosion of condensercoolers, gas separators for the naphtha cut, pumps, lines, and intermediate tanks. Many years of experience in the application of the IKB-2-2 corrosion inhibitor in AT and AVT units have confirmed the high efficiency of the inhibitor. The savings obtained through the use of this inhibitor are substantial.
