Detection of neutrino-nucleus interactions in nuclear emulsion at the IHEP (Serpukhov) accelerator

The results of the first experiments on the interaction of 2--30-GeV neutrinos with emulsion nuclei at the IHEP (Serpukhov) accelerator are presented. Nine of the thirteen detected events are interpreted as CC neutrino interactions. The average numbers of shower, grey, and black tracks in these events were 2.2 (without muons), 2.1, and 3.6, respectively. The average excitation energy of the nucleus was 214 +- 29 MeV.
