Parks and recreation: Obligations and outlays from the Land and Water Conservation Fund

The Land and Water Conservation Fund program serves as a funding source for federal acquisition of public park and recreation lands and for grants-in-aid to state and local governments for the planning, acquisition, and development of outdoor recreation areas. It is currently authorized to receive $900 million annually from Outer Continental Shelf mineral receipts, federal surplus property sales, motorboat fuel taxes, and recreation fees. This report presents federal agencies obligations and outlays from the fund for FYS 1976 through 1985. It also shows the obligations and outlays for matching grants to states for FYS 1976 through 1985.
