Explanation of /sup 3/He and triton rates in the alpha breakup inclusive cross sections

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. C; (United States)
(..cap alpha.., /sup 3/He) and (..cap alpha..,t) continuum inclusive spectra are measured on target nuclei ranging from /sup 58/Ni to /sup 209/Bi. Systematic differences in the absolute magnitudes of the /sup 3/He and triton spectra are found. To explain these differences the distorted-wave Born approximation calculations in the post form for inclusive breakup reactions are performed. It is shown that Coulomb effects are responsible for these differences.
