LNG in South East Asia - Design considerations
The pattern of LNG production worldwide, and in South East Asia, is reviewed. South East Asian plants already occupy a prominent place in the international LNG trade. Prime influences on plant design are the composition of feed gas and the nature of the markets accessible for products. These will influence the complexity and cost of process supporting substances. The configuration of typical LNG plants is described. The high energy consumption of LNG plants makes the selection of driver systems significant, and the proper selection of drivers is dependant upon costs ascribed to fuel consumption and to capital expenditure. No significant limitations are imposed by locations of plants in South East Asia.
