Production of Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/ mesoniums in. gamma gamma. reactions, hardonic collisions, and J/psi radiative decays

The rho/sup 0/rho/sup 0/ enhancement and the rho/sup +/rho/sup -/ supression in ..gamma gamma.. reactions near the threshold is taken as a strong evidence for an exotic isotensor quantum number which signals for the multi-quark (Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/) structure. The mass and the cross sections agree well with the prediction based on the Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/ structure. The 2/sup + +/ phiphi resonance at 2.16 GeV in ..pi..p and pp collisions has been interpreted as a 2/sup + +/ s/sup 2/s-bar/sup 2/ mesonium. The calculated mass, width, and the cross sections are all in accord with the experimental data. The correlated J/psi pair produced around 7 GeV in ..pi..N collisions at 150 and 280 GeV/c has been considered as a 2/sup + +/ c/sup 2/c-bar/sup 2/ mesonium. The calculated cross sections and the longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions are consistent with the data. The calculated branching ratio for J/psi ..-->.. ..gamma..(Q/sup 2/Q-bar/sup 2/) 2/sup + +/ ..-->.. ..gamma.. rho/sup -/rho/sup 0/ is compatible with the recent experimental upper limit and the ratios of the helicity amplitudes are distinct from the ones measured in J/psi ..-->.. ..gamma.. theta(1700) ..-->.. ..gamma.. etaeta, ..gamma.. KK-bar. The branching ratio for J/..gamma.. ..-->.. ..gamma..(s/sup 2/s-bar/sup 2/) 2/sup + +/ ..-->.. ..gamma.. phiphi is predicted to be --10/sup -6/.
