The study of a glass-forming area in the Tl/sub 2/S-Sb/sub 2/S/sub 3/ system was determined (from 0.6 to 0.95 expressed in molar ratio of Sb/sub 2/S/sub 3/). These glasses were then characterized by measuring their glass transition temperature. T /SUB g/ , and by electron microscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. The glass-forming are and its limits are discussed in terms of structural investigation by /sup 121/Sb Mossbauer spectroscopy in connection with the results of corresponding crystallized compounds and their optical transparency
