The geometrical optics analysis of unstable resonators with nonuniform magnification is extended to include simple saturable gain with nonuniform gain. Also, the intensity profile for an arbitrary magnification function is derived. In the limit of zero losses, the output power seems to be a function of the output area alone, independent of the particular magnification function.
