This article is concerned with a review of the literature on recent topics in constitutive modeling of cyclic plasticity and viscoplasticity of metallic materials. The subjects dealt with are: (1) multiaxial behavior such as hardening and flow of materials under nonproportional loading, (2) inelastic behavior at elevated temperature especially under plasticity-creep interaction conditions, (3) hardening behavior under thermomechanical loading, (4) ratcheting behavior under uniaxial and multiaxial cyclic loads, and (5) similarities between models. The literature published in the last five years is mainly reviewed.
