Title: Selected geologic literature on energy resources and phosphate deposits in the northeastern circum-Pacific region

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5948728

This bibliography refers to selected geologic literature on the energy resources and phosphate deposits within the northeastern quadrangle of the circum-Pacific region published prior to 1978. References include those for petroleum, coal, geothermal, and nuclear energy but not solar, wind biomass or other exotic sources of energy. Western and southern boundaries are defined by 170/sup 0/ E. longitude and 7/sup 0/ N. latitude. Northern and eastern boundaries are defined by physical barriers consisting of the first coastal mountain ranges encountered on the west North American continent. Also included are some publications adjacent to and extending slightly beyond this eastern boundary so as to insure complete coverage. Literature cited covers the Pacific coastal regions of nine countries - the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. The literature pertaining to sedimentary basins and the closely associated fields of stratigraphy, paleontology, structure, and geophysics are emphasized.
