Hourly Electric-Load Model (HELM). Volume 1. Design, development, and demonstration. Final report

OSTI ID:5947823
The Hourly Electric-Load Model (HELM) forecasts hourly electric loads over the long term. It follows a structural approach in which class and system load shapes are developed by aggregating component, end-use loads. HELM is flexible in terms of the amount and detail of inputs required and in terms of issues and conditions it is capable of analyzing. Standard and optional tables and plots describing the forecast results are HELM outputs. This volume describes the design, development, and demonstration of the model and the transfer of HELM to the utility industry.
