The paper surveys infrared (IR) radiometers with fiber, dielectric, and reflective hollow cylindrical and conical light guides and IR radiometers with hemispherical reflectors, which are widely used in studies of heat fields and in measurements of surface temperatures. The conditions for use of IR radiometers and their advantages and disadvantages are indicated. The instrument designs are classified and unsolved problems are noted.
