Partial-unification mass scales

Partial-unification mass scales for the groups SU/sub L/(2)xSU/sub R/(2)xSU/sub C/(4) and SU/sub L/(2)xU/sub R/(1)xSU/sub C/(4) are studied by means of renormalization-group equations. A partial-unification mass scale of 4 x 10/sup 6/ GeV is found for both the groups when these groups are broken down directly to SU/sub L/(2)xU(1)xSU/sub C/(3). Mass relations between the leptons and quarks are also discussed.
