Measurements of the deuteron magnetic form factor at high Q/sup 2/

We have doubled the range of existing data for the magnetic form factor of the deuteron by making measurements at Q/sup 2/ = 1.5, 1.75, 2.25, and 2.5 (GeV/c)/sup 2/. The results show a shallow minimum around Q/sup 2/ = 2 (GeV/c)/sup 2/, in qualitative agreement with impulse approximation calculations.
