Emission of complex fragments in argon induced reactions at 213 MeV/A. [Mechanisims, energy spectra, temperature, isotope distribution]

First results are reported from a study of reaction mechanisms in a /sup 40/Ar beam of 10/sup 8/ particles/s to bombard thorium and carbon targets. Results for energy spectra widths to be used to extract the temperature of the emitting system and those for the distribution of isotopes are being analyzed. 7 references. (JFP)
