The 1993 Pressure Vessels and Piping conference was held July 25-29 in Denver, Colorado. Nondestructive evaluation is essential to the overall well-being of a global society, as it helps to ensure safety and reliability in the manufacture and service of engineered components. This volume contains papers from four technical sessions. These sessions cover quantitative nondestructive evaluation and acoustic emission techniques, reliability in nondestructive evaluation, materials characterization using nondestructive evaluation techniques and engineering applications in the field of nondestructive evaluation. Individual papers are processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases.
