The Gas Research Institute (GRI) annual baseline projection of U.S. energy supply and demand provides a consistent framework of data which is used in planning GRI's R and D program. The summary of the baseline projection to the year 2000 discusses the macroeconomic outlook, energy prices (oil, natural gas, coal, and electricity) and energy demands (residential, commercial, industrial, transportation, and electric utility). Numerous tables provice detailed energy supply and demand data broken down by factors such as energy types, demand sectors, and geographic regions.
