  1. Southern California Gas Co., Los Angeles, CA (United States)
A computerized compressor maintenance program (CCMP), developed in-house, has organized records and made them readily retrievable at Southern California Gas (SCGC). Operating simplicity is the key to the program's acceptance and success. Future enhancements will add engine analysis and operational data. Final package should make CCMP an increasingly valuable predictive and preventive maintenance tool. The program's prime criterion was ability to record routine compressor maintenance data such as compressor maintenance data such as scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, maintenance needs identified by engine analysis. User input will determine the program's acceptance and future. With this in mind, the program was initially tested at two sites, an underground storage compressor facility at Honor Rancho and an in-line compressor station at South Needles. The tests gathered good user-input. After a year of testing, the program was installed at all locations. Operator training was conducted on a one-on-one basis, allowing for varying computer proficiency levels.
