Search for the AC Josephson effect in superfluid /sup 3/He

Experiments searching for the AC Josephson effect in superfluid /sup 3/He, analogous to phenomena observed in superconducting microbridges, have been performed. Measurements of this type test the fundamental properties of the superfluid described by a macroscopic wave function. Small orifices were employed as the weak link between two reservoirs filled with /sup 3/He.
