Finite elements in fluids. Vol. 8
The present volume discusses CFD grid adaptation, adaptive remeshing for transient problems with moving bodies, a FEM solution scheme for compressible viscous flow, a streamline-diffusion FEM method for compressible and incompressible fluid flow, algebraic grid generation with control points, mixed FEM methods for time-dependent problems, and a numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equations for the flow of two incompressible nonmiscible viscous fluids. Also discussed are FEM methods for multiphase and multicomponent flows, unsteady incompressible flow computations with FEM, FEM for the computation of 3D turbulent incompressible flows, a FEM analysis of enclosed turbulent diffusion flames, a direct numerical simulation of a turbulent mixing layer by a pseudospectral element method, the behavior of a tokamak plasma, and the MHD problem in the aluminum industry.
