Inclusive phi-meson production in association with other particles in K/sup +/p reactions at 32 GeV/c

Results are presented of a K/sup +/p experiment on inclusive phi-meson production at 32 GeV/c in the Mirabelle bubble chamber. Data on the joint inclusive production of phi with other particles ( p,K/sup 0//sup ,//sup +/, Lambda-bar, ..pi../sup + -/) and with resonances (..delta../sup + +/(1232), rho/sup 0/, K*/sup +/(890)) are presented for the first time. These data and data on inclusive production of direct K/sup +//sup ,//sup 0/ and K*/sup +//sup ,//sup 0/(890) in nondiffractive processes are compared in detail with the Lund fragmentation model. The experimental results point to an important role of spin effects in particle production in soft hadronic collisions.
