Proceedings: Main coolant pump workshop, 1991

Conference ·
OSTI ID:5920329
The performance of main coolant pumps -- PWR reactor coolant pumps and BWR recirculation pumps -- can significantly affect plant availability and capacity as well as O M costs. Participants at this fourth annual workshop discussed monitoring and diagnostics, maintenance, fracture mechanics, and design considerations of these large, vertical shaft pumps. The workshop was attended by {approximately} 60 domestic and international representatives from utilities, NRC, NSSS suppliers, pumps vendors, architect-engineers, and consultants. The workshop was cosponsored by Arizona Public Service Company and held April 16--18, 1991 in Phoenix, Arizona. Proceedings of the workshop are contained herein. Individual reports are processed separately for the databases.
