High Tc superconducting thin films prepared by flash evaporation

Conference · · IEEE Trans. Magn.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5917763
Superconducting thin films of Y-Ba-Cu-O and Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O were prepared by a simple technique of flash evaporation. Flash evaporation is the method to evaporate multielements with different evaporation temperatures, instantly. These films had critical temperatures Tc(zero resistance)=78K (nonannealed Y-Ba-Cu-O) and 73K (annealed Bi-Ca-Sr-Cu-O). The thickness of these films was from 200nm to 600nm.
