This report summarizes the contribution of the Los Alamos National Laboratory to the Nevada Nuclear Waste Storage Investigations for the fourth quarter of 1983. The status is given of the following investigations: water chemistry; sorption and precipitation; solubility measurements and calculations; plutonium chemistry in near-neutral solutions; hydrothermal geochemistry; hot spring analogues; flow and transport modeling; mineralogy-petrology of tuff; volcanism; rock physics; shaft and borehole sealing; and exploratory shaft. 50 references, 35 figures, 14 tables.
