While little publicized outside the country, Peru's gas-repressuring operations are among the oldest in Latin America. Reinjection into NW. Peruvian reservoirs began in 1927. Projects started to date amount to 50 and account for over 66 million bbl of additional recovered oil. An accompanying map shows the location of fields, natural gasoline plants, compressor installations, and pipelines linked for the present repressuring program.
