The twelve papers presented at the symposium cover the following topics: the professional, legal and ethical issues raised by behavioral screening for unescorted access to nuclear power plants; a psychologically developed system for access screening of vendor and owner applicants; validity generalization and situational specificity for reactor operators; a managers' activity survey; a management assessment center for utility managers; the TVA Management Development Plan; Goodyear Atomic Corporation's Management Development Program; a strategy for the enhancement of management and communications in nuclear power plants; curriculum guides for career path training for plant operations personnel; a series of training programs in technical supervisory skills for plant personnel; and proposed standards for the evaluation of industrial and academic credits in operator readiness. Course guidelines are included; surveys are depicted in tables and graphs.
