Temperature correction formulas for adjusting estimates of automobile fuel consumption
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:5908146
This report describes an analysis of test data leading to formulas reflecting temperature effects on automobile fuel consumption. The purpose of the task was to provide factors which, when used to multiply fuel consumption estimates for vehicle operation at standard Federal Test Procedure (FTP) temperatures, (68-86F) would yield corrected estimates of fuel consumption for operation outside the FTP ambient temperature range.
