Relative symmetries of differential equations

Conference ·
Let ..delta.. : J/sup infinity/ nu ..-->.. J/sup infinity/ pi be a differential operator, where J/sup infinity/nu (resp. J/sup infinity/pi) is the infinite-jet bundle of the bundle nu : F ..-->.. M (resp. pi : E ..-->.. M). Let I/sup 1//sub nu/ be the Cartan submodule of the module lambda/sup 1/(K/sub nu) of the 1-forms over the ring K/sub nu/ = C/sup infinity/ (J/sup infinity/nu). Among all derivations of K/sub pi/ into K/sub nu/ along ..delta..*, we classify those which map I/sup 1//sub pi/ into I/sup 1//sub nu/. They turn out to be quasi-evolution equations.
