To provide a rational basis for the selection of an amine solution for acid-gas removal from natural-gas streams, the University of Alberta investigated the solubility of H/sub 2/S and CO/sub 2/ in a 2.5 kmol/cu m diisopropanolamine solution. Tests were run at 104 and 212/sup 0/F for H/sub 2/S partial pressures of 2.0 to 3207 kPa and CO/sub 2/ partial pressures of 2.7 to 5888 kPa.
