Industrial CHP plant meets flexible steam requirements

A new plant in Ede, the Netherlands uses a GE LM5000 STIG-80 gas turbine generator followed by a waste heat boiler. The GE LM5000 aeroderivative gas turbine has a nominal rating of 33 MW and an efficiency of 35.5% (dry). A steam injection system has the double task of lowering NO[sub x] emissions with the use of 5--15 t/h of steam, and increasing the power output of the gas turbine to a maximum of 46.6 MW with 36 t/h steam injection. 2 figs.
