The paper examines the state of current authority for the regulation of indoor air pollution in residential settings and compares the types of government action that might be taken. It also proposes legislation that Congress should adopt to ensure that further research is undertaken on the problem, that the results of this research are rendered useful to the average citizen, and that future federal efforts in this area are effectively coordinated.
