Comment on ''Spontaneous magnetization in a mixed-valent rare-earth compound''

The results of an experiment demonstrating a spontaneous magnetic moment in mixed-valent TmSe/sub 1hyphenx/Te/sub x/ samples are shown to be consistent with an extrapolation to negative pressures of the positive-pressure-dependent magnetic properties of TmSe.
